Wow, talk about ministering back to the ministers (in a secular sense)!
Robert Plant getting misty-eyed. Jimmy Page intently watching the lead guitarist butcher his (Platonic ideal) template of the lead guitar solo, but admiring anyway.
Then the curtain drops and the choir are wearing Clockwork Orange-style bowler hats in tribute to John Bonham, and all three ex-Zeps are touched at the thoughtfulness, and moved by the sound of mass voices.
Ann and Nancy Wilson were the perfect choice to do the song, having built their band on the back of Zep’s inspiration all those years ago. They brought a heartfeltness (no pun intended) that the other Zep-coverers didn’t.
