For those who follow discussions at the intersection of theology and practice, an article of mine has just been published in the journal Philosophy and Theology (Volume 20:1-2, pp. 307-329). It is titled “Engaging Foucault with Rahner: Sketching an Asymptotic Relationship.” The abstract, on page 307, reads “Putting Karl Rahner and Michel Foucault in conversation shows the space of overlapping concern in their work for the relationship between subjectivity and knowledge, while introducing new questions about power and history in this relationship. Both foment a respect for mystery, through Rahnerian ‘transcendence’ and Foucauldian ‘rescendence,’ that while not the same, may yet be understood as convergent without a fully realized connection. In other words, the relationship between Rahner and Foucault may be posed as ‘asymptotic.’ ”

It is a small piece of my multi-site quarrying toward a richer philosophy of Christian practice. Information about the journal is here.
